Castle Brands Inc. is releasing its first "special edition" bottling of Knappogue Castle Whiskey, its founding brand. The Knappogue Castle line is a series of vintage-dated Irish single malt whiskeys. The newest is Knappogue Castle 15 Year Old Irish Single Malt Whiskey. It is the result of marrying one cask each of single malts distilled in 1990, '91 and '92. The whiskey was not chill filtered and was bottled at 86 proof. The three casks produced 600 bottles.
The new expression will be on the market in time for the holiday season at a suggested retail price of $100.
